Job Description

  • Develop and implement strategic production plans aligned with company goals.
  • Optimize resource utilization (manpower, machinery, materials) for maximum efficiency.
  • Ensure timely production schedules to meet delivery commitments.
  • Maintain strict quality control standards throughout the production process.
  • Collaborate with QA/QC teams to reduce defects and ensure compliance with automotive industry standards (ISO/TS 16949, IATF 16949).
  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives (Kaizen, Six Sigma) to enhance product quality
  • Drive lean manufacturing practices to minimize waste and reduce production costs.
  • Monitor and improve production KPIs (OEE, cycle time, downtime, etc.).
  • Oversee maintenance schedules to ensure minimal equipment downtime.
  • Enforce adherence to health, safety, and environmental (OHSAS) regulations.
  • Foster a safety-first culture on the shop floor.
  • Ensure compliance with industry-specific regulations and certifications.
  • Lead, train, and motivate a team of supervisors, engineers, and operators.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and skill development programs.
  • Promote teamwork, accountability, and a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Manage production budgets, ensuring cost-effective operations.
  • Analyze variances and implement corrective actions to reduce costs.
  • Coordinate with procurement and supply chain teams to manage material costs and inventory levels.
  • Work closely with NPD, Quality, Supply Chain, and Marketing departments to align production with market demands and innovations.

Requirement & Benefits

  • Educational Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical/Automobile/Industrial Engineering or a related field is preferred 
  • Desired Experience: 10+ years of experience in automobile manufacturing, with at least 5 years in a leadership role and Proven track record in managing large-scale production facilities, Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing & Familiarity with global automotive standards and certifications.
  • Salary: CTC 7.80 LPA + additional company benefits
